Myiasis in Sheep and Goat in dubai

Larvae were collected from Eastern, Med, and Northern areas in United Arab Emirates, from 128 sheep and 172goats suffering from infested wound with myiasis-producing blowfly larvae.Results of identification and classification of collectedlarvae indicated that 3 genera of Chrysomyia, Wohlfahrtiaand Calliphora were obtained.In Eastern area Chrysomyia bezziana (69.5%), Chrysomyiaalbiceps(19.4%), Wohlfahrtia magnifica (7.4%) andCalliphora species(3.5%).In Northern area Chrysomyia bezziana(73%), Chrysomyiaalbiceps (17.8%), Wohlfahrtia magnifica (5.5%) andCalliphora species (2.9%). In Med arae, Chrysomyia bezziana (65%), Chrysomyia albiceps r (22.8%), Wohlfahrtia magnifica (7.5%) and Calliphoraspecie~(4.4%).
