Investigations on detection of cysticerci among cattle

Summary:- Sera were collected weekly from 10 experimentallyinfected calves with eggs at’ ’I’aen.i a saginata and treatedwith Praziquantelt as well as 2 non-infected ones assource of the control sera beside 200 sera collectedfrom cattle slaughtered in Cairo abattoir, identifiedto 8 positive and 192 negative to cysticercus bovis inthe routine post-mortem inspection.The latex agglutination test was applied on seracollected from the experimentally infected group aftertne adjust:nent of the optimal time and temperature ofincubation, suitable buffer as well as the optimal an-t1 - ’en dilutions.
