Abstract:
A total of (134) Rahmani lambs from one day old up to 2.5 months were used in this study. One hundred andthree lambs showed symptoms of diarrhoea and the remain- ing (31) lambs were clinically normal.The present investigation was planned to study the different etiological agents of diarrhoea in sucklinglambs and detection of the mean levels of some bloodparameters; including haemoglobin concentration, packedcell volume, serum total protein, total immunoglobulins, protein electrophoretogram, serum glucose, alkaline phosphatase, inorganic phosphorus_ calcium, magnesium,serum sodium, potassium, chloride, urea, and creatinine of the diarrhoeic lambs and after response to treatment.The animals belonged to El-Serwe farm, Animal BreedingResearch Institute, Domiat Governarate, during lambing season in Feb. 1988.The results obtained from the bacteriological and parasitological investigations revealed that:1 - Dietetic disturbances in suckling lambs plays most important role in evoking diarrhoea.2 - While bacterial agents such as Escherichia coli,
