Abstract:
4582 The present work was carried out to clear the fate of some parasitic stages experimentally infected fishes.Pourty-two fi shes (C larias laz era) were dividedinto 3 groups, each of 14. Each fish in the 1 st and 2~ groups was infected with 1000 and 2000 sporulated oocysts of Cyptosporidium species respectively. The oocysts appeared in the DROPpings of infected fishes after 3 days Pbst~nfection. The clinical symwere depression, anorexia, laziness,- and diarrhoea.Histopathological examination revealed the presence\ofa minute developmental stages of Cryptosporidiumspecies attached to the brush border of intestinal villi, necrosis and desquamation of intestinal epiFourty-eight fishes (Sarotherodon n ilotica) were divided into 4 group, each of 12, Each fish in the 1~, 211<! and 3rd groups was infected wi th 650-750 mature cysts of Entamoeba histolytica. The cysts appeared in the DROPpings at the 10th day post-infec-tion. The clinical symptoms were sluggish movementswith diarrhoea. Histopathological examination revealed.
