Abstract:
The kidneys separate wastes from the blood and excrete them from the body as urine. In the present work some experimental kidney injuries were done such as complete ligation of one ureter, unilateral nephrectomy, reduction in renal mass bytwo different methods and unilateral renal trauma. The li tera ture failed to give a full compara tive picture about the effect of kidney injuries onthe blood picture, clinical biochemical changes, urinalysis and histopathological changes. Thepresent work was done to collect all the previous studies and to complete the whole picture. Also to correlate the clinicopathological resul ts with tha t of the histopathological results.Thirty in this work, divided into six groups. each group of five animals.Five groups were subjected to different experimental kidney injuries as previously mentioned and thesixth group used as a control.The erythron mass varied according to the experimental kidney injury done. Macrocytic hypochr- omi0 anaemia was seen in most cases, while macrocytic
