Effect of Echinococcosis on Body Tissues & Fluids on Some Domesticated Animals

Abstract:
Hydatid cyst is ’considered a zoonotic disease which infest man and animals, Dogs play the main role in transmission of this disease as itis the final host of the worm £cJJiJ]occlccus grfJ..1]u}osus . Camel has ahighest infestation rate among the slaughtered farm animals in Egypt(may exceed 36%), This study was directed twards the following:(]) A total or 137 camels were examined and tested, and according to theavailable facilities , all were subjected to Casonis test as a tool ofdiagnosis with an evaluation of this test in view of it’s reliability indiagnosis,(2) Faecal examination was adopted for all animals to detect that anychanges occured in tissues or body fluids were due to hydatiddisease only,(3) Urine examination was carried in infested and healthy cases to reachallY changes inbetween ,(41 Blood was examined briefly . as a picture and analysis in both infestedand healthy camels to obtain any deviations from the normal values.lS) Clinical examination including temperature ,pulse and respiration,general health condition, symptoms) age, incidence, organs infestedand sex, all were recorded and compared with the healthy ones.(6) Sputum of infested and healthy camels was examined,(7) The hydatid cyst fluid was examined and valued in it’s contents to-,obtaine any relationship between it’s contents or any increase ordecrease in the contents or blood or urine,(8) Finally, a histopathological slides were prepared to show the effect of
