Abstract:
The study of the arterial distribution in the thoraoic and abdominal cavities was oonducted on 20 donkeys(lO males and 10 females) varying in age from9 months to 27 y~ars. The animals were bled, injected with formalin, phenol, glycerine solution of 10, 2.1% respectively and then injeoted with red ~atex. Arteriographs were prepared for the heart, lung. kid ney ovary uterus and testis by the neW technique(latex barium sulfate injection technique) which has the advantages of using the specimen in both purposes,gross anatomioal and radiological studies. As well as latex casts ’llere -pre-pared.. ~he nom.enc~atures usedduring the thesis were that adopted by Nomina Anat- omica veterinaria( 1973). However in heart, liver, tes-tis;ovary and uterus, other names were applied after WILKENS and MUNSTER (1.976), ANIS (1977), FEHLINGS andFOIiLMEYER, (1978) and BADAVII and ABD EL RAOUF (1970)respectively. Further terminology were applied after available publications. Some new terms were suggestedby the present author( e.g. Aa. renules It Middle ventral segmental artery, caudal extermity segmentalarter$ Rr. uterinae II1 oranialis et caudalis eat ••• ).
