The present study was a systemic survey for the helminth parasites infesting 200 wild rats of different species (28 R.r.rattus, 37 R.r.alexandrinus 30 R.r. Frugivorus, 72r. norvegicus, 24 M.musculus, 5.A. noloticus, 4 A. cahirinus.) the incidence of parasThe detected helminths were1- Nematodes:-Syphacia spp. (19%) aspicularis tetraptera (4.5%), dentostomella kuntzi(4%) protospirura spp.(14%0 streptopharagus kuntzi (2%) strongyloides spp. (4.5%) trichostomoides crassicanda (13.5%) Trichuris muris (0.5%) Nippostrongylus (12%) Angiostrongylus canto2- Acanthocephale: Moniliformis monillformis(2%).3- Cestodes :Hymenolepis dimenuta (32%) Hymenolepis nana (7%) Cysticercus fasciolaris (4%).
