Epidemiological studies on camel as a reservoir ro some animal pathogens

1.During this work, an epidemiological studies on camel asa carrier of some animal pathogenes was carried.2.A total of 500 camels were examined distributed indifferent localities at Egypt, 360 apparently healthymale camels in Military !ronteir-guards and 140 camelsaround Cairo governorate.3.Samples for bacteriological exa mination were takenfrom anterior nares, back, perineum region as well asfaecal samples from each camel examined4.out of 360 samples collected from each site of militarycamels staphylococcus aureus was isolated from 260(72.22 %) and 2 (0.56 %) of samples taken from an ter-ior nares and back region respectively, while camels invillages, the same organism was isolated out of 140samples collected from each site at a rate of 120(85.11 %) , 16 (11.42 %) and 22 (15.11%) of samples.taken from anterior nares, back and perineum regionrespectively.
