Abstract:
Five of most common species of lake Manzala fishes, Anguilla vY-1gari..§, ~ctgrus bayad, Clarias lazera , Tilapia pj.lotig and Mugi~ c ephal.us , Havebeen investigated for enteric helminthes. They appeared to be natural hosts to thirteen species ofenteric worms , which have been identified as seven trematodes, two cestodes, three nematodes and oneacanthocephala. Out of 412 fishes, were found that only 160 , (38.84 %) were infested with different types of enteric helminthes where the trematodesrepresented 59.58 % infesting Agguilla ~lgaris Bucephalus polymorphus was in a mean rate of 62.16 % maximally in August 66.7 % , while .Deropristis infla,ta was 10.81 % dominating in Januar;r; 55.5 %. Jiggr1ls.sYaJ! fishes revealed two trematodes ,absconditurn with a mean rate of 30,,0 % Acanthostomu and abundantin July 86.4 and Hap~.£!:.9hoides _cah.erj~ in 70.0 %dominating in March end November 29& 7 & 24.3 % respe-ctively.
