Effect of some feed additives on blood constituents and growth rate in chickens

Abstract:
The present investigntion dQult with the possibility of adding some feed additives to poultry ration as dried cabbage leaves, dried onion and dried gnrlic to studythe~r effect on growth r2,te and bleod haemoglobin and chemical constituents in Hubbn~d chickens.The results are summarized [lS :follows1- The growth rRte of Hubbard chickens up to 4 weeks was greater on diets added by dried cabbage leaves,on~on pnd garlic in~Qsing orde+ than those fed the .control ration. Then the rate of growth of all groupscontrol and e4perimentnl exhibited nearly the same valueexperiment (Seventh weeks) the some group, which offered.cabbage show2d El lighter weight than 0.11 groups.2- Ooncerning food consumption, chioken~ whioh receivedcabbage consumed lesser mnount of food them. the group which reGe~ved onion, and the control group. Cn theother hand chickens whioh receivoQ garlic consumed gre- ater amount of food~- Haemoglobin cOntent did not differ significantly in all t4e gro~p.s during the whole period ef rearing.
