Some anatomical studies on the lung of buffalo in Egypt Bos bubalisl

The present study wmcarried out on one hundred and twenty lungs of buffalo calves, eight lungs ofadult buffalo as well as eleven full term foeti. A brief review of the available literature on the lungs of most domestic animals was given.With the help of different anatomical techniquesthe ~obar division, the bronchial tree, the pulmona- ry vessels, the bronchopulmonary segments, the bronch-ial artery and the bronchial nerves were describedin details and the resu~ts were discussed with theprevious investigations on ruminants and other domes-tic animals. The nomenclature adopted in this work is basedon the Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria 1973.
