Abstract:
Two hundred and fifty. freshly voided DROPpings were examined for presence of coccidial oQaysts from ten privatefarms for meat and egg production as well as from the poul- try clinic of Faculty of Vo t , Me d , Cairo. University. The incidence of coccidial oocysts were 82.24% in theexamined samples.The incidence of the different eimeria species wereas follows: E.necatrix(30-90%), ~.ten~lla (20-100%), E.acervulin..§:(10-80%)f E.,hal£1ni(5%), E.waecox .§.mitis (10-40%), and td E.pecatri was the prevalent strain in five farmsand was incriminated with other E.species in three farms.One hundred and seventy six subjected for post mortemexamination and direct microscopic examination fro recor~ding the incidence of coccidiosis among these and the res-ults were as fOllow:Mortality peroentage was 35 •. 23% •.§.1!§.catrix was the prevalent species in the most exa- mined cases and increminated in other cases.
