Abstract:
lli.munoglobulin levels of 70 serum samples from nonnal buffalo calves and 54 from diseased calves from birth to 4 month of age were examined by asse-sment of total protein refractome trically t total immunoglobulins by sodium sulphite turbidity test, serum protein fractions by cellulose acetate elect-rophoresis and Ig G by single radial immunodiffusion. l~ In precolostral calf sera the immunoglobulins!Cere present in trace amount and after ingestion of .co.Lo at rum, total serum globulins concentrationincreased rapidly.2::- Passively trarafered globulins from the mother tocalves by ingestion of colostrum, and their subse- quent elimination and replacement by autogenousglobulin, as well as changes in total protein , immunoglobulins, different electrophoretic frac- tions and Ig G have been estimated during the first four months of life.
