Abstract:
1) from the investigated data 150 lactating cowsand buffaloes were examined for clinically rnastitic quarters. Forty six out of 384 cow’s quarters had clinical mastitic syndrome, while in buff1oes only 20 were affected from 216 quarters.2) It is evident that clinical mastitis was more prevalent anong examined cows (12 %) than buffaloes(93 %) while the subclinical cases wore more prevalent in cows (25.3 %) than in buffaloes (20.4 %).3) It was revealed that twelve cows we showing clinically anstitic milk while it was found that 76 out of 85 ocwe were with apparently healthy quarters. With regard: - buffaloes, the present investigation showed that 3 out of 6 were with clinically mastitic milk end with apparentlyhealthy quarters It was found that 3 cases were suffer-ing from induration in one or two quarters. Forty out of 48 buffaloes were with apparently normal milk and had apparently healthy quarters. However eight oases showed - induration in one or two quarte4) It wes evident that the healthy cow1s milk had a pH which ranged from 6.4 % to 6.7 while it was 6 to 6.7 among buffa1oos milk.
