Abstract:
In the present investigation the clinical and Patho- logical picture of IBR in naturally infected calves and the type of infections accompanied this disease were studied. The study was performed on 48 calves varying from oneweek to eight months old • The calves were suffering from pneumonia or pneumoenteritis. These syndromes were observed in outbreaks among calves in several farms at different governorates in Egypt. To establish the different etiological factors causingdeathes among calves representing samples from the differentorgans and tissues as well as bloo. smears from the heart blood and foeca+ samples were taken for the virological,bacteriolsgicalJparasitological and histopathological studies.The laboratory diagnostic studies revealed that 41 out of 48 (86.6 %) calves were infected with IBR • Twinty sixcalves from them (54.16 %) were suffered from the diseasewi1i)loutanycetl11’l1cationswith ’other pa’thog ens j while in Calves (32.47 %) the IBR was associatedOither with RP.baeterial infections .er . paraaitic infestation.
