Abstract:
A total of 450 lactating animals of diffirentlocalities and in diffirent hous systems are examined.Out of these ,50 ware maintained in closed house system& 400 in open yard system .This study was done during the period between June 1986to May 1987 .1) Air ambient temperature and relative humidity ofthe barns of the two house systems were recordedseasonally but results were of no significance in theincidence of mastitis .2) 48 air samples for C02 & AMMONIA determinationwere collected from the air of the barns of the twohouse systems seasonally The higher pollution levelwas recorded in the farms of the closed house systemwhere it was 2022-923.3 p.p.m for C02 and 173.2 - 79.4p.p.m for ammonia. While in the farm of the open housesystem it was 1266 - 683.3 p.p.m. for C02 and 93-53.3p.p.m. for ammonia3) 48 air samples for bactoriological examinationfrom the air of the barns of the two house system wherecollected using the settling technique .The most frequantly isolates of the air in the closedhouse system (C.H.S.) were E. coli, Staph. aureus andSterpt. faecalis (25.92%, 22.22% & 18.51% respectively,while in the farm of the open house system (O.H.S) they
