Abstract:
The present work was performed on 149 animals(100 kids, 39 rams, 5 female goats and 5 femalesheep). These animals were div ided into three maingroups, heal thy, clinicall y affected wi th differentsurgical affections of the penile urethra (urethralobstruction, urethral perforation, urethral dilata-tion and congeni tal hermaphrodi te) -mental group and an experi.The healthy group (35 kids, 29 rams, 5 femalegoat and 5 female sheep) were subjected to positivecontrast retrograde urethrography and from it thewriter concluded the following:1- in male caprines, the dorsal burethral bwall presents a diverticulum and a valve at the transition from the pelvic to the penile urethra. this valve and diverticulum prevent the passage of both radio0-opaque substance and catheter to reach the urinary
