Thounds dead in shell egg as well as one day old chicks wereobtained from balady hatcharies from different localities in Egypt, were bacteriologically examined thirty two isolates had been isol-ated belonging to Salmonella speices, out of them fifteen isolateswere Salmonella gallinarum-pullorum only one of them was from thestandard serotype.Four different serological tests had been applied on 210 ser-24.4% and 8.]% at Giza Zoo Gardens, Chester Zoo, London Zoo, Bristoltion was surveyed in seven zoos, and was found to be 28.,8, 37.3, 25%Zoo and Edinburgh Zoo respectively., The percentages of infected animalsat Knowsley Safari Park and Whipsnade Park were 65.3% and 61:8%respectively. During this survey, it was shown that -t he various hostspecies were usually infected by more than one species of parasite .The prevalence of parasitic infestation of ani rn a ls ”in Giza Zoo, asdetermined by faecal examination was 28.8, (Trematoda ’1.3%, Nematoda27.5%). The percentage of infestation by nematodes in primates andA rtiodactla 28.2% was and 37.U;;brespectively.At Chester Zoo there was a similar level of pa r asi r ir- infestationIn the animals (37.3%) as in Giza: Trematoda 0.0% and Nematoda 37.3%.The percentage nematodes infestation in primates and Artiodactyla was29.9 and 43.6% respectively. At Bristol Zoo almost the same level. of infestation by parasit~swas seen (24.4%) at Giza Zoo; Trematoda 0.0, Nematoda 24.4 %. Thepercentage of nematoda in primates and Artiodactyla 21.7% and 15%respectively.in London Zoo the prevalence of po raslric infecrion was 25%(Trematoda 9.3%, Nematode 15%). The percentage of nematode infesta-tion in primates and AritodactyJa 33.3% and ,0.0%, respective.Iy.
