Abstract:
The present study was designed to investigate some liver function tests in norma.l buffaloes as well 2.S in < Fasciola infected ones. ~ccording to the degree of liver damage w\1ich was judged macroscopically during post-clOrtem examination, cases of fascimoderate and severe degrees. The correlation between theresults of liver function tests and the degree of liverdamage was also noted.The blood glucose values showed a significant increasein moderate cases and a significant decrease in severe con-ditions. In light damage of the liver, the glucose levelslay within the normal range.The total serum protein levels were not changed inlight and moderate cases. In severe cases, however, a signi-ficant DROP was observed.The serum albumin level was found to be a sensitiveindex for the degree of liver damage. It decreased si6ni-ficantly in light, moderate and severe forms. These is also-
