1) The present inveGtigation was carried out tostudy the factorS that ma~T play e. role in the predis ..•position or occurrence of tetany in the buffal-calvesespecially the artificially fed ortes.2) Biochemical anaJ.ysis of sera from unweaned buf-falo-calves suckling naturally, as well as, from thosewhich suckling artificially revealed that the serum ofthe latter calves was statistically significant low inthe ratio of Ca/mg, while was high in the potassium andcholinesterase levels.3) Biochemical analysis of sera from weaned buf-falo-calves reared on dams milk, as well as~ from thoSGwhich reared on milk replacer revealed that the serum ofthe latter calves was statistically significant low inthe calcium level and in the ratio of Cs/ Mg.4) Studying the effect of weaning on buffalo-calve~fed naturally, as well as, on those which fed artificiallyrevealed in the former a statistical significant increase
