Studies on caprine pleuropneumonia in kuwait

1) Clinical studies on contagious caprine pleuro-pneumonia (CCpp) 1n Kuwait were carried out, on fourtygoats with clinical respiratory signs accompained by rise of temperature and inappetance.2) Seven cases with clinically typical symptoms of CCPF were exposed to pathological and mycoplasmalexaninations.3) Trials for mycoplasma isolation and determina- tion of isolation rates on different culture media (Bru-cella, Mycoplasma, heart infusion and PPLO media) were carried out on the clinically typical seven cases.4) Biochemical characterization of representative isolates using different biochemical tests (dextrose fer-mentation, amino acid deamination, tetrazolium reduction, film and spot formation, phosphatase activity and serum digestion tests).5) Serological typing of representative isolates by grovJth-inhibition and growth-prem1pitation tests revealedtwo types of’ mycoplasma, ill., type I Which was untypable
