Abstract:
1. This investigation waS a study of the electro-phoretic pattern of buffalo serum during the lastweek of pregnancy and after parturition2.Total serum protein in buffaloes DROPped from 8!695~O.24 g./100 ml serum during the last week ofpregnancy to (13~162+0.C89 g./l00 ml serum) immediately after parturition.3.In Egyptian buffaloes serum albumin decreased frbm (4~745~0.17 to :. .740+0~024 g./lOO ml serum).4.Alpha-globulin durin3 the last week of pregnancy and on the day of parturition amounted to 8.3 per centof the whole protein. On the 3rd day after parturition there WaS a DROP in the level of alpha-globulin,which tended to incrGase at 7th, 14th and 21st day post-partum.5.Beta-globulin in sera of Egyptian buffaloes decreased from (0.676+0.004 g./lOO m1 serum) during the lastweek of pregnancy to (0.657+0.01 g./100 ml serum) immediately after parturition
