Abstract:
The aim of the present investigation is to study certain factors that may play a role in the carly diagnosisof traumatic reticulo-peritonitis such as the clinical symp- tomst blood picture and biochemical analysis for some para-meters of serum and urine of buffaloes in both experimentaland clinical cases. The experimental traumatic reticulo-peritonitis wereinduced in 5 buffaloes through permanent ruminal fistulausing U-shape form of baling wire where one end was 5 cm. long and the other was 3.5 cm. This wire was pierced throug the antero-ventral wall of the reticulum directed towardthe right side.Registration of clinical symptoms (temperature, heartratet respiratory rate and ruminal movement). Bloodt serumand urine samples were taken every 6 hours during the firstday (6,12,18,24 hours), every 12 hours in the 2nd day and once per day on the 3rd, 5th and 7th dayst for haematologica (blood picturet ESR and haematocrit value) and biochemicalStotal bilirubin, urea, total protein, SGOT & SGPT) studies. The temperature, heart rate and respiratory rate weresignificantly increased while the ruminal movements ShOwed
