Abstract:
1. 130 Swiss-albino mice of 3-4 weeks old were each inoculated I./P. with 5xl0 3 I~PLD50/ 0.2ml of RVF virus.2. The first symptoms showed by the mice consisteQ of reS[essness and running aimlessly after 42 hours thenthe course of the disease progressee and the symptom become apparent between 54 hours to 102 hours andconsisted mainly of nervous symptomsand paralysis of hind limb. Symptoms started to decline by lll~ hours rNice , survi ving at the end of the experiment do not manifest any clinical symptmms.3. The most post mortem-findings was concentrated in the livers as~rayish white pin-headed necroticfoci followed by diffuse necrosis allover the liver surface. Other organs showed congestion and haemorrhaGe /distended gall-bladder, intestine show;~ haemorrhage and blood tinged intestinal contents.4. Livers, spleens, brains, kidneys, hearts, lung$) intestines and skeletal muscle were collected at
