Detection of foot and mouth disease virus in tissues from infected animals

Abstract:
1- Six sheep, six goats and 3 calves were used in this study for the purpose of detection, isolation and identification of FMDV in its tissues after experimental infection with FMDV, strain 0/2/72-Egypt. The animals after infection were slaughtered at var2- The animals before infection were clinically and apparently healthy and does notshow any signs of FMD or other other infections diseases. Moreover, the animals were proved to the susceptible to FMDVinfections as confirmed from the absence of SN-antibod4- All animals post- infection were putunder strict quaran- teen measures and the following parameters were being studied daily and for a period of 10 days: body temperature, clinical systems, lesions and viraemia status.
