Morphopathological Studies On The Liver Of Chickens Due To The Effect Of Senecio Desfontainei”Druce

150 one week old Fayomi chicks were divided into two groups, experimental and cotrol groups. The control groupwere fed commercial chicken starter mash, while experimental group were fed the same diet after mixed it by dried Sene-cio desfontainei with a concentration of 1 / of the diet.Senecio deefontainei ”Druce” was collected from Bellbais.Samples of dead and sacrificed chickens were collected and maintained for histopathological changes and investiga-tion of the alkaloids. Blood samples were collected. from the sacrificed chickens and serum obtained. The following examinations wereapplied:- 1- Haematological studies.II- GOT, GPT and alkaline phosphatase were measured.Cilinical symptoms were depression, anorexia, ruffledfeathers, droopy appearance, yellow diarrhea and inactivity.All of the internal organs of dead and sacrificed chicks were examined grossly and histopathological.
