Abstract:
Upward fixation of the patella is the most common surg- ical affection in buffaloes, which is increasing by presented clinical Bubjects.Despite numerous studies have been conducted to eluci-date the aetiology of the malady, it seemd to be still deba-ted and uncertain since little attention was attracted tothe role played by heredity as one of the predisposing fac-tors, there fore, the present study was intended to dealwith studying of chromosomal map of affec~ed animals in comparison with normal ones. Moreover synovial f~uid and blood serum were analysed to detect any changes in theparameters of some values.A total number of 50 female Beheri buffaloes (25 normaland 25 affected) were used in this study for chromosomal, synovial fluid and blood serum analysis. Results of chromosomal analysis showed that the normalKaryotype was 50 chromosomes of which 5 pairs were meta and, submetacentric. While 20 pairs were acrocentric includingthe 2 X chromosomes. It was also found that the incidence ofchromosomal aberrations in normal buffaloes were quite low
