Abstract:
Biochemical and Nutritional values of poultry abattoir by-products.The aim of this thesis is to study the possibility of using the slaughtering by-products of poultry, e.g.,fat, feather and intestine, as substitutes of the costy basal ration due to their content of protein, fat, mine-ral salts and trace elements.For performing the present work, the following fivedifferent by-products samples were used:- Intestine with mesentric fat meal. Intestine with feather meal (1:1). J. Feather meal.Defattened intestine.Fat extracted from intestine.The content of the aforementioned by-products were determined as: moisture, total solids, ash, crude pro-tein, fat and salts of calcium, phosphorous, iron andzinc. While th~ fat, extracted from the intestine, its constants and also its fatty acids constituent were iden-tified. Portions from the constituents of the chick basal ra-ion were substituted by the five different by-products,where the Fayoumi chicks were divided into 6 groups oneof which was used as a control group offered the basal ration.
