Abstract:
Aiming to develop a new efficient protector for preservnt-·ion of buffalo semen, severul oxperiments were conductedto t~st the effect on sperm vl~bl1ity of various non-electrolytes ( glucooe, fructoso. galactose, lactose and”sucrose), weak- ellectrolytes (glycine) and electrolyteswith either monovalent union (uo~ium chloride), divalentanion (sodium sulphate a nd a od Luui phosphate) or t ri vale n tanion (sodium citrate dihydrate).’I’h e optimal concentration 01’ n ny t ested substance W[Wthat concentration coinciding with the higher absoluteindex of viability, 10ngnDt duration of no less than 50 %progressive motility, and longest motility duration.Another series of expcrirnonta was designed according1to the dicomponent method to invoatigate the effect ofcombining non-electrolytes (laotopo, sucrose) withelectrolytes (sodium p h o s p hu t e , nodiumcit rate dihydrate.and their optimal mixture), a nd t o determine the optimalratio of various combinations.
