Phytochemical and pharmacological studies on beta vulgaris and eichhornia crassipes plants

In tnis investigation, preliminary phy- tccacai,c alscreeninc:; was carried out on the roots and Leaves of Betavulgsris plant. This revealed th~t they cGntain saponins, alkaloids and/or nitro6enous bases, carbohydrates and/orglycosides, tannins, sterols and resins.
