Abstract:
In the present work thepharmacokinetic, tissue dis- tribution and residues of ampicillin ,neomycin and oxytet-racycline were studied in lohmann chf.ckans., The pharmac okinetic was studied on six groups of l4chickens each. Each bird was given the dose once i.e ampici- llin and neomycin ( 20 mg/kg b. wt. ) and oxytetracycline( 6 mg/kg b. wt 0 ) 0 The first group was given ampicillin orally,the second group was injected with am.~p±cillin intramuscular, the third group was give’n ne-omycdzr or.ally, the fourth groupwas injected with neomycin i-nt-r8llUscularlly,the third group was given oxytetracycline orally the fourth group was injected witllin orally ),30 minutes ,1,2,4 and 8 hours.Ai’ter two weeks the last five chickens from eac-h gr-oup were injected with the same doses intravenously and theblood samples. were collected at the same times as be~ore.The concentrations of these antibiotics in all samples were determined by the microbiol-og±cal assay me-thodoThe obtained , results revealed the following:
