Abstract:
The present study aimed to find the incidence ofBrucellosis among slaughtered animals at Cairo abattoirby using different serelogical methods and find the suitablemethods for detecting the disease.The serelogical methods are :a- Tube Agglutination test at 37°Cb- Tube agglutination test at 50°Cc- er-c apt o et h ano I testd- Rose Bengal test2492 blood samples were collected during the preiod from1982 till 1983 at Cairo abattoir from cattle (958) buffalo(889) and Sheep (620) •The tube agglutination test at 37°C ,5lioC andRose Bengal test gave similar results with little variationin the titres as follows:In cattle, 22 samples gave positive reaction (2.24 %)wi th titre ranged from 1/40 , to 1/ 320In buffaloes 16 samples gave positive results(1. 8 %) with titres ranged from. 1/40 to 1/640 •
