Abstract:	A total of 96 normal eyes and 98 diseased eyes were bacter iolog ically examine<1.j’amples werecultured and stained with Gram’s stain. Only four samples out of 96 normal eyes proved nega-tive and two out of 98 also proved negative in diseased eyes.
