All samples werescreened by AGPT for BLV antibodies usinggp - 69 antigen. All sheep and buffalo sera were negative. Cattle sera were collectedfrom two breeds Frezian (012) and native (17). All tested sera fromutive breed were nagative. Only 5 sera from frezian dairy cattle collectedfrom the Karada frezian breeding station were positive in the AGPT out of(310) serum samples tested 0.6%) . The 5 s e r a showed a clear precipita-tion band. This is the first record for bovine leucosis in Egypt. Twentyone animals representing three generation nearest to the positive animalswere tested haematologically for their total and differential leucocyticcount.Comparing the results of AGPT and haematological test as Judgedby Bendixen and simplified Europian keys it was found that : 12 animalswre found negative in both serological and haematological tests, 3 positive~ AGPT and leucotic haematologicaliy to both used keys, 2 positive 1n~PT and haematologically suspecious according to Bendixen Key andhaemtologically negative according to simplified Europian keY)3 negativein AGPT and haematologically suspecious according to both keys~ 1egative in AGPT and leucotic according to both keys.
