Abstract:
This study included the incidence, prevelence and some morpho-biological stUdies on Gasterophilusspecies in donkeys in Egypt 118 donkeysof different ages ’were examined on post mortum at the national circus abb.ttior in Cairo from march 1982 toFebraury 1983. Two species of the parasite were found in thestomachs and doudenum of donkeys •. G. intestinalis was present in the stomach between the glandular and non glanular parts. a. nasalis was present inthe pylorus’ and the first part of doudenum. G. intestina1is was fOLmd to infest 98.3 % ( 116 of 118 donkeys). The larvae of a.intestinulis were present in all months of the yeD.r w.i. th an avarage of ( 88 ) larvae per donkey. The maximum monthly mean nularvae per donkey. The high mean was ( 45 )
