Studies on viruses associated with calf diarrhoea in Egypt

Faecal samples collected from 30 calves with diarrhea from different locelities were subjected to viral isolation.2- Isolation carried out on the embryonic bovine kidney.cell cultures -resulted in the recovery -of 7viral agent. 3- Susceptibility of these v i na I aeents to the cell1ihe tissue culture was performed using chick embryo cell line culture (CER).4- Characterization of the isola tes - using DH stability ether and chloroform sensitivity test, haemadsorption test revealed that. - Five viral agent were stable in nH 3, resistant to ether and chloroform, no haemadsorption wasoccured. _ Two viral a~nts were labile in pH 3, sensitive to ether and chloroform ,haemadsprption to theguinea pig erythrocytes was occur.5- Identification of the viral agents by serum neutra- lization test using eference hyperimmune serum revealed :-
