Abstract:
Toxoplasmosis is one of the important zoonotic diseases. It is caused by Toxoplasma gondii. It infects several hosts and produces several clinical manifestations. The ~m of the present study is to investigate the deve-lopment of antibodies during the different stages of infec-tion among rats by the application of several serologicalmethods.’roxoplasma gondii (RH strain) was maintained in the labo-ratory by intraperitoneal inoculation of mice. After J days, the peritoneal exudate containing the trophozoites was gained and used for the preparation of the antigen as well as for experimental inoculation of rats and mice. The rats and mice used for experimentation were kept in the Animal Health Research Institute.;.rhe needed solutions and equipment were prepared forSabin-Feldman test, indirect haemagglutination test, comple-ment fixation test and slide agglutination test.
