Abstract:
This study presents data on the distribution of ltVF virus in sera , organs and excreation of experimentally inoculated native goats. For thispurpose 10 out of 13 young goats 2-3 months old were experimentally inoculated subcutaneously witha dose of 1 ml. from 108•5 TCID50/ ml of the Zagazig strain. The r-ema Ln.i ng 3 animals were kept as controlThe ~nim18s were kept under observation for clinical manifestation. Animals were sacrified at predeterminedhours sera and organs were collected • Moreover conjunctival, pharengeal nasal, rectal and vaginal swabs were taken. The result achieved can be summ-erized as follows: 1- The inoculated goats showed rise of temperaturevarying from 40.’-40.2 °C.Variation in the time df temperature elevation was noticed but predominally 24-96 hours. Symptoms of fever was only noticed and 3 animals died at 72 and 144 hourspost infections. 2- ~rhe P .M. changes of sacrified or dead animals showed no significant lesions except focal hepatic necrosis and areaa of congestion and emphyse in the lungs.
