Abstract:
The present study was carried out on 1897 animals (1317 cows and 580 buffaloes ) of different ages arid sexes during the period of survey extended from iecember 1983 to November l94 in Beni—Suef Gornorate • The results of gastro—intes— tirial nematodes reConcerning the individual nematode parasites recorded among cattle in this study through £aecal examinatation,it could be concluded that eggs of trongy1orine were the most common type passed from the investigated animals, tnen followed by those of Buflooiifus & Bunostomurn species eggs • On the other side , StrongyloidE eggs were not detected among buffaloes during the whole period of examinationConcerning the seasonal dynamics and geographical distribution of gastro—intestinal nematodes among cattle and buffaloes through faecal examination , the obtained results that th.uutumn season was the mofit favourable one for the distribution 01’ nematodeOn the other side, the highest rate of infestation was in Nasser locality and the lowest was in Semosta and El—Fashin localities the different nematode parasites rcorded during the invests gations , Strongylorine —type —eggs were found to be most frequant
