Abstract:
The aim of this investigation is to study the pheno-menon of repeat breeding in Egyptian cows and buffaloeswith an attempt to illucidate the factors associated with reduced fertility in these animals. An understanding of the changes in cervical mucus may assist in diagnosing infertility. A special interest was given to the clinical findings of the genital tracrole of agglutinating and immobilizing antibodies in sera of females to spermatozoa in lowering the fertility rate was investigated. This study was carried out on 225 cows and buffaloes (30 cows and 32 buffaloes were normal animals, while 94cows and 99 buffaloes with lowered fertility) at Aussime Artificial Insemination Centre in the period from April, Z98l to November, 1982.
