Experimental Studies On The Vascular Pattern In Tendon Splitting In Donkeys

To study the changes in the vascular pattern during and after percutaneous tendon splitting, 16 operation wereperformed on both superficial and deep flexor tendons of 9 experimental donkeys. The animals were divided into 4 groups (4 operations each), euthanasied at 7, 14, 30 and60 days post-operatively. Samples from the operated flexerj tendons were subjected to gr6ss and histopathologicalexa~lination. 32 arteriograms were perfonned directlybefore the operation (as control) and directly before euth-anazia.
