Abstract:
Bovine viral diarrhea virus is a major pathogen of cattle. The cellular and the biologicalimmunology response to the virus is the main subject addressed in this work. This study wasproposed to accomplish the following aims:I- Determine the replication, pathogenesis, of BVDV types in the camelid cell lines ascompared to bovine cells.1- Determine the biological cell mediated immune response with:A- Cytotoxicity assay:- Development of a technique to analyze and evaluate the in vitro cytotoxic activity of bovine~BMCs against BVDV-infected autologous bovine dermal fibroblast target cells.Evaluation of possible generation of B VDV -specific, bovine cytotoxic T _ Iymphocytes. Demonstrate the Iymphocyte blastogenesis to subsequent challenge with type II BVDV-890. I· Evaluation of the cytotoxic memory PBMC subsequent to challenge with type II’fLymphocyte blastogenesis:11Examination the ability ofPBMC to mount in vitro proliferative responses to live BVDV strains.Blastogenic response to B-and T-cell mitogens. Detection ofBVDV virus by BVDV outgrowth immunoperoxidase ELISA (BOlE)Detection ofBVDV Rt”\[A by BVDV reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)uantitate humoral immune response by BVDV type I and IT serum neutralization tests .flow cytometric evaluation ofBVDV infection on the expression ofIvlHC antigens Detection ofBVDV antigens in the PBMes by Flow cytometry. results of this study can be summa
