Abstract:
Thirty pregnant Boskat rabbits( Body weights 3.12+40.40 kg) and thirty pseudopregnant Boskat-rabbit ( Body weights 2.90±0.35 kg) were used in thisstudy. - Pregnant and pseudopregnant animals were randomlydistributed to five groups. - Adaily dose of prostaglandin, antiprostaglandin ( Indocid orally) glucocorticoids and progesteronewere administrated for a period of 4 days. The results obtained were concluded as follows:-- The highest concentration of progesterone in rabbit,plasma was observed ,around midpregnancy(14.0 ±1.2ng/ml) followed by gradual decline till parturition • The oestrogen content in rabbit plasma increasedgradually from ~ay(O) (112.0 ±32 pg/ml) and reachedthe highest level at day 28(192.4+70 pg/nu) and the .level decreased to 110.1 +32 pg/ml) after purturi- tion
