Cats of various breeds, ages and aexs from different localities of Cairo, Giza and its suburbs have been investigated fo Taenia worms infestation. The incidence. seasonal variation and the morphological biological statvs af detected worms have been comparIndeed, out of the total examined cats, only 14.8demonstrated natural infestation (20.27 in males and 79.73 in females). It was of interest in the present studs to clarify that this parasitaemia reached its apex during the period from September to December with. a clear gradual declinatioL from January to March tiil reaching its minimum in June.Localisation of the handled type of worms has beeufound to concentrate in the second quarter of the small iatestine. In this study, pH measurments-.were- made on tbaialestina.l contents to determine the effect of hydrognion concentration on the localisation of the worms under discussion in the small intestine. It has been found that Taenia taçniaeforjn worms were concentrated mostly in the second quarter of the small intestine wbere the pH decreased. to 7.52 — 7.38, while ohinocoecus aau1osus worms were found to concentrate mainJ..y in the first quarter within
