Abstract:
Two hundred one day old chicks of our native hybridDokki 4 breed, were experimented on to study the effect ofdiffere,1.t rearing syst ems used through Egypt on th e growthand performance of pro ducti on.1- The effect of different rearing treatment s on growth rateof females and males appears to be greatly marked duri ng thelast period of The male body weight development of group 17Dl deep litter”with 6 hours light & 6 hours dark appears to be superiorthan that other groups in the period of self acceleratedgrowth 1112 we ek” of age (1067 grammes).3- The male body weight development of gr oup- Il indoorrearing house wi th natural day light appears to be super-Lo.at the end of the growth period (1837 grammes).4-The efficiency of food utilization was much higher ingroups D2 & Il (0.2220 & 0.1752 respectively than theother two groups, Dl’ I2 (0.1489 & 0.1447 respectively).5-The males of group Dl (deep litter) showed its sexualmaturity earlier than that of the other groups 1st
