Abstract:
410 samples of camel sera of different breeds (Balady and Sudany) and. ages (young and old) were studied.(2) The same serum s emp Le s were examined for antibody” content ag a.lnsf FIVIDV· type 01/2/72/Egypt using lOF,AGP and virus neutralization tests.(a) The indirect complement fixation test showed that the average antibody titre in young Baladycamel sera is significantly higher than that of old camel sera, while in Suda.n;y camel sera there is a Li.tt Lc difference between the anti .body titre in the young and old one.Between the young Ba Lady and young Sudany the IOF test showed somewhat significan.t diffe- rences in the arrt Lbody titre. On the other hand, both old sudany and baladJ breeds arealmost shOwing identical levels in the antibody titre.(b) All the camel sera of both breedsvand ages byusing AGP Tost showed a well developed precipi- tating bands which corresponded to and iscontinuous w i.t h that produced by Guineapig hyper-Lmmun e serum aga.i.ns t type 01 of FMDV.
