Abstract:
The placentae of 350 she-camels were used in this study. They were taken at different periods of gestation. Macroscopic examination was carried outon them. The pm.centa were weighed and the correspond- ing foetuses were measured (Crown Rump measurement) andweighed. The relation between the growth of” the placenta and their foetuses were statistically done on 270 foetusesonly. Materials for histologic al and his tochemical studies were collected from 80 placentae only. The results of this work can be summerized asfollows:-1.Statistical AnalyA- The relation between the growth of placentaand the weight of their related foetusesare Significant at the first half ofgestation, then the growth of the foetuses were more excessive than that of placentae. There was no difference between the males and femalES foetilses c.ia bo observe.B- The relation between the growth of placentaeffi1d the length of corresponding foetuses wasin a significant manner at all periods of gestation, also there was no difference found be~veen Dales ~~d females foetuses.
