Abstract:
The problem of identification and differentiation ofhair is similar to that of any other organ. Thus study ofthis pro bl.em has attracted the attenti on of several investig-ators during the last two decades. The line of inv~stigationwhich depends upon examination of the detected hairs uponweapons, blood stains, clothings and otherwis.e of an assailentor a victem is valuable not only in a murder cases but al soin the cases of bestiality, cattle maiming, meat adultrationand in many other cases with which hairs may be associated,incluiing the examination of motor vehicles alleged to havebeen involved in running down cases.The aim of the present work involves the quantitativedetermination of certain metabolic ally active minerals in theblack hair of normal Egypt ian g oat breeds obtained from bothsexes. Moreover, the application of these values as a medico-legal sign in identification and differentiation between diff-erent sexes and breeds.Quantitative determination includes the followingminerals : sodium, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium,manganese, zinc, lead and chromium.Normal grassing black goat’s were provided from Kaliobiaprovince, their ages r arg ed between one to three-years and
