Morphogynaecological studies of the genital organs of Libyan Ewes and their sexual pattern

In this study 683 non-pregnant genital organs of Libyan Barbory ewes were examined over a period of oneyear to illvestigate the normal and pathological characteristicsof the different pGr·ts of these organs. h6 shape of the ovaries without structure was more or less ovoid, or flnttend, and or irregular inprotruding structure as Graafian follicles and Corporalutea.The average ovarian weight was 0.89 and 0.86 gm for the riBht and left ovaries respectively. statisticallythere was no siiicant difference between the right andleft ovaries. Altholl.gh the average ovari8.n length was 1.56 and1.53 cm. for right 2nd left ovaries respectively but therewas no statistically sie;nificant difference between them.~he 2verage ovarian breadth was 1.09 and 1.08 cm for rsh,t e nd left ovaries respectively. Statistically nosiguifi3ant difference was found between both ovaries regarding their breedth. ThG average thickness of the ovo.riGs was 0.78 and0.75 cm. for the right and left ovaries respectively withno statistically significant difference between both.
